Bon Tool Co.
Gibsonia, Pa.

Masonry Magazine

Bon's stainless steel, wide bit brick hammer is a premium masonry hammer with a striking head that is made from precision-formed stainless steel. The stainless steel head is stronger than those made of carbon steel, alloy steel and even titanium steel, and resists rust and corrosion. During the manufacturing process, the head of the hammer is triple heat treated, which adds more durability, helps the head absorb shock, and gives the hammer a tougher hitting surface. It is finished with a hickory handle that is sealed with three coats of patented UV finish to resist wear. The hammer weighs 20 ounces and features a 2-1/4-inch-wide bit blade. For more information, call (724) 443-7080, or visit www.bontool.com.

With a 13.6 AMP, 6,000 RPM high-speed motor, the wet diamond core drill Model END 1521 P completes holes 50-percent faster, but allows drilling without the "blow out" and micro fractures that commonly occur with the percussion action of rotary hammers in granite, natural stone and concrete. This unit drills without shock, dust or vibration, and its centering aid will ensure accurate drilling. There also is a vacuum connection for collecting the slurry. The drill comes with three bits (1/2-, 5/8- and, a built-in GFCI and a metal storage case. Diamond core bits in 3/8- to 1-1/4-inch diameter are also available. Hohmann and Barnard Inc.
Hauppauge, N.Y.

Masonry Magazine

Hohmann & Barnard is pleased to announce the introduction of FLEX-FLASH EDGE — a widely specified, Elvaloy-based peel-and-stick FLEX-FLASH flashing with an integrated copper drip edge. The copper strip is embedded into the edge of the flashing membrane, but is not visible, so there is no concern about oxidation. Membrane flashing materials typically are too resilient to bend into a lasting drip-edge when projecting beyond the face of the wall. By embedding a narrow copper strip into the edge, FLEX-FLASH EDGE can then be easily formed on site into a typical 3/8- to 1/2-inch drip edge that will endure.
