Screen Block Used in Wall Openings

Screen wall concrete block units may be used as panels a wall as set forth for glass block panels in Section 408 of the building code. In this case the panel is re- crained on all four sides in a wall which is designed to meet all of the requirements of the building code.

Two #9 wall-mesh are placed in the horizontal joints 12" e. and anchored to the boundary of the panel.

For exterior walls panels shall not exceed 144 sq. ft. wall surface nor 15' in any direction.

For interior walls, panels shall not exceed 250 sq. ft. 25' in any direction.

NOTE: Lintel, sill and jamb of opening to be designed e same as for a window. Wall-mesh to be placed in rizontal joints 12" o.c. consisting of two #9 wires with moss wires welded @ 16" o.e.
