sive project in masonry.
The Marianist College of Dayton, Ohio, is a sive project in masonry and other materials. The architecture utilized solid masonry to achieve a contemporary design, which puts focus on the chapel (lower right) as the most significant part of the building. Elliptical in shape, the Queen of Apostles chapel is constructed mainly of stone. Dedicated last May, the building is the home to a number of young men who have chosen a life of religious, educational and working purpose of the Brothers of the Society of Mary. The edifice can house some 240 clerics. The masonry work on the project was completed by James Lonie & Son, MCAA member, Dayton.
