Construction of new business premises offers design concept possibilities for top production efficiency. In addition, for the alert, sales-minded application, it many times means effective sales promotion ideas. Illustrating the general offices of the Adel Clay Products Company of Des Moines, Iowa, the building shown in photo on this page features the latest in sales ideas.
A series of twenty-seven panels, lighted nightly, serve as a dramatic display of products by the Adel Clay Products organization. The panels, in a wing extended adjacent to the general offices, are shielded by an overhead roof and mounted individually on L-beams. Normally changed about once a year, each panel presents three samples of masonry. The results of this unique display have been an amazing number of sales, says Homer J. Johnson, Adel Clay Products sales manager.
The building too is consistent with the flair for the unique. It features red-face brick, highlighted by a pattern of tile contrasting well with the background to give emphasis to the company name. (See photo.)
