Chicago boasts that it is the transportation hub of the world. It has the world's busiest jet-age airport in O'Hare. Fifteen domestic airlines and ten international airlines service this field with more than 636,000 plane movements yearly. One-quarter of the nation's total passenger traffic goes through O'Hare.
If you prefer to travel by car, Chicago is the hub of the interstate tollway system, serviced by the Indiana Turnpike, the Illinois Tollway, the Wisconsin Freeway, and U.S. highways.
In addition, it is the world railroad capitol, with 22 trunk railroads. Over 1,700 trains arrive or depart daily-one every 48 seconds.
Chicago, the second largest city in America, is the birthplace of the first skyscraper. It is the home of the world's busiest corner and one of its most famous streets, State Street. Plan on attending the 14th annual MCAA Convention at the Sherman House in the Convention Capital of the World.
