in its class.
Any experienced contractor who has watched OTHER high-lift equipment sway with a heavy load knows why the 720 ECONMOBILE has such a low center of gravity (note lift cylinders positioned below center line of wheel axles) and why it has extra weight and strength. The 720 is based on jobsite experience and that experience demands safety, agility and stability.
No optional gimmicks. Much standard equipment on the 720 is optional on competitive machines. This includes such vital parts as PLANETARY DRIVE AXLES (no truck axles), torque converters, full hydraulic reversing transmission, operator shield, light, horn, all gauges, including hour meter, gas gauge and hydraulic oil filter for trouble-free hydraulics. In some cases these items, even if offered, represent an additional cost of more than $2500.00 so check this carefully. carel
Low Clearance. Even with a machine as large as the 720, clearance has been maintained at 119", still low enough to clear a 10 ft. door.

The new 720 is an entirely new machine. It is not a tractor conversion, nor is it built with truck components. It has been fully engineered to give every consideration to requirements of contractors. The key words are LIFTING HEIGHT (33'), REACH, CAPACITY, POWER, SPEED, MOBILITY, TRACTION AND MULTIPLE USES. Compare them all and you will find that only the ECONMOBILE 720 gives them all.
HUGE 372 cubic inch engine, developing full 132 h.p. at governed speed of 2600 rpm (horsepower means nothing unless you also know cubic inches and governed speed), torque converter, hydraulic reversing transmission with only two pedals on the floor board, in addition to the brake pedal. These pedals control forward and reverse speed. The operator does no shifting. This leaves his hands free for steering and operating. The HUGE ENGINE, torque converter and hydraulic reversing transmission feed the surplus of smooth power to EXCLUSIVE DOUBLE REDUCTION PLANETARY DRIVE AXLES. These Rockwell-Standard Planetary Double Reduction Axles are exclusively designed for heavy construction equipment and no other machine in the 720's class offers Planetary Drive (a must for a heavy four-wheel drive machine). Note that the front axle pulls and the rear axle pushes on four-wheel drive- or the reverse when the machine is in reverse.
