New A.I.A. Affiliation

approved by directors of both associations this month, the AIA was affiliated only with the Producers Council. Institute officials regard the new affiliation as an implementation of AIA's policy to broaden the base of effective Institute activities and services into collateral fields through affiliation and interchange of kindred concerns with closely related organizations.

Building Program

Fred J. Robbins, President of Bliss & Laughlin Industries announced plans for extensive building programs at three of the company's divisions.

In the Steel Division, an addition to the Medina, Ohio, plant at a cost of about $3/4 million will increase the company's ability to serve this rapidly expanding market for cold finished steel bars.

The Goldblatt Tool Company, now in Kansas City, Missouri, will have a new factory in Kansas City, Kansas. Investment in this new facility will exceed one million dollars and will double the size of the present plant. Demand for Goldblatt Tools for trowel trades has far exceeded present production capacities and the completion of this new plant will increase service capabilities for dealers throughout the country.

The Faultless Caster Company in Evansville, Indiana, will complete additions to its present buildings at a cost of $300,000. Sales in 1965 have made present facilities insufficient to meet the anticipated increased demand for industrial and furniture casters and hardware.
