Special Report:
on a low-cost plan that fills an
important gap in insurance planning
MCAA's Group Accident Insurance Program
Every six minutes, 24 hours a day, somebody loses his life in an accident- 90,000 lives in all each year. In our fast-moving world, no place seems safe from the threat of fatal or disabling accidents whether at work, at home, at play, or traveling in airplanes, trains or cars.
Accidental deaths not only deprive families of loved ones and the necessary flow of income but also disrupt business through loss of key executives and skilled personnel.
In the face of the sobering statistics on permanent disability and death through accident adequate insurance to protect families and employers is becoming more important each year.
Most far-sighted people have purchased insurance protection against the hazards of illness and non-catastrophic accidents. Many are planning the accumulation of an estate for retirement and for family on eventual death. But what if a serious accident takes the life of the insured or leaves him totally and permanently disabled today? Do most people have adequate protection today to take care of their long-range objectives?
Accidents are the top-ranking killer of persons under age 45 and 3rd ranking killer of persons between 45 and 60 years of age. Through MCAA's Group Accident Insurance Program, your Association offers all members a plan to protect you and eligible members of your company in the event of accidental death or dismemberment.
Individual letters and application forms have been mailed recently to all MCAA members concerning renewal of Accident insurance effective December 1, 1965. The application forms are to be returned to MCAA headquarters no later than November 1, 1965.
Only during this period will new enrollments be accepted and increased coverage be made available, so please make it a point to mail your lists of employees and dependents to be insured without delay. Additional forms will be sent to members upon requests. If you did not receive yours, please let us know.
MCAA provides $1,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance free of charge to a specified individual of each member firm in good standing. To be eligible it is required that the member stipulate in writing the name of the person who is to receive the free policy and direct it to the MCAA Executive Office.
