Above: Photograph shows a residence using random height strip rubble veneer stone. This type of stone has been shipped by the Tennessee Stone Co. to every state in the United States and Canada.
Tennessee Quartzite compares identically to Italian Quartzite not only in appearance, but in its physical characteristics as well. One of the first uses of Tennessee Quartzite was the door sill in the main entrance of the Old Inn at Crab Orchard, Tenn. The stone withstood the wearing and weathering test for over 125 years. Tennessee Quartzite was developed on a commercial scale in the late 1920's as flagstone, building and cupola stone. To date, it has been used for practically every building and ornamental purpose.
