United States Marine Color Guard presents the colors of MCAA Convention.

'66 MCAA Convention Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. The Mason Contractors Association of America has just completed its largest, most enthusiastic and productive convention in its history. From the jam packed President's Reception through the final Board Meeting, each of the various activities were well attended and graphically showed that the members of the MCAA are interested in the vital issues of today and are keeping pace with the various trends of the industry.

Anthony Perri, Brooklyn, N.Y., was elected President of the Association at the Annual Meeting held on Tuesday afternoon in the Virginia Room of the Sheraton-Park Hotel. Other officers elected are: Donald Biddell, Detroit, Michigan, Vice President; Robert Harrison, Chicago, III., Treasurer and Donald Stevens, Milwaukee, Secretary. Regional Vice Presidents are: Michael Coco, Pittsburgh, Pa.; O. L. Jollay, Atlanta, Ga.; Frank Laureys, Chicago, III.; C. DeWitt Brown, Dallas, Texas; John Yoxen, Las Vegas, Nev.; Fred Brodesen, Seattle, Wash.; and Eugene George, Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.

The MCAA Educational Trade Show was officially opened when President Les Dietrich cut the ribbon at the entrance of the hall. The '66 Show was the largest ever held by the Association and the attendance in the exhibition exceeded all other shows. The exhibits this year were outstanding with many firms showing new products and equipment for the first time.

Sunday activities were centered around the Material Handling Workshop which featured "Mortar Handling and Pumping." This session was excellently moderated by Corb Garton. After the various presentations, the delegates adjourned to the lower convention area where an actual demonstration of mortar pumping was conducted.

The opening session of the Convention was called to order by President Les Dietrich at 9:30 A.M. After an impressive presentation of the colors by the United
