New Blade Design
A patented new design, now available in Target Diamond Blades, provides greater resistance to undercutting when sawing extremely abrasive products such as concrete block, green concrete, asphalt and loosely bonded refractories.
Specially positioned extra-depth segments change the pattern of abrasion. Called SEG-SAVER, the new undercut protector design consists of several extra-depth diamond segments, specially positioned to change the pattern of constant abrasion and thereby prevent a high concentration of abrasive cuttings (swarf) from forming next to diamond segments where they are attached to the blade core.
These extra-depth segments extend inwardly to a greater depth than the other segments. This design forces the water coolant to distribute the swarf over a greater area of the blade, allowing it to be quickly discharged through the radical slots. This greatly reduces the grinding and regrinding of the swarf and results in longer blade life and more efficient cutting.
The new SEG-SAVER Undercut Protector is now available for the entire range of Target Diamond Blades. Each Blade is color coded to allow the operator to instantly select the right blade for any material.

New Generator
Champion Manufacturing Company has announced a new dual purpose generator which they say is ideal for all high cycle vibrators or other high cycle equipment, and also for AC/DC 60 cycle universal electric saws, drills, kits and other tools.
The new dual purpose generator is powered by a 4 cycle, air cooled, single cylinder Kohler gasoline engine (8 HP. at 3600 r.p.m.). It provides 3000 watt, 180 cycle, 3 phase AC current or 3000 watt, 60 cycle DC current-or a combination totalling 3000 watts.
The new generator has an automatic idling device to reduce speed to 1400 r.p.m. on no load conditions and automatically increase speed to 3600 r.p.m. under load. This device increases generator life and reduces fuel consumption and engine operating noise level. Other features include a manual recoil starter for easy starting, self-ventilated, drip proof construction, frequency regulation within 5% and a rotating armature with built-in exciter.

The one-eighth inch thickness of this strap bolt fits easily in a standard mortar joint without cutting or clipping the masonry unit. It's fast and easy to get straight, uniform joints. Filling of cores is eliminated and there is no twisting, turning or pulling loose when CRC Masonry Anchor Bolts are used. The carpenter will set plates or jambs faster too, because bolts will be straight.
Stock size bolts in a variety of sizes are available for solid & in. and 4 in. caps, for off-set caps, for two core block, and for setting plates on concrete slabs. Bonding Mix
Larsen Admix is a specially formulated liquid which imparts self-bonding qualities to concrete mixes. It can be used with any acceptable sand-cement-gravel ratio, including commercially prepared mixes for stucco, mortar and topping. Admix 101 makes possible the thin-coat renewal of concrete surfaces without acid etching or scarifying. It permits featheredging and, when properly applied, will stand up under severe weather and heavy traffic conditions.
Admix 101 increases the strength of concrete and improves water resistance and resistance to corrosive environments.
Suggested mix ratio is one sack Portland cement (94lbs.), three sacks sand (330 lbs.), and six to eight gallons Larsen Admix 101. For small area patching, Admix 101 may be used with prepared bag mixes approximately three quarts to a 45-lb. bag of sand mix; one gallon to an 80-lb. bag of gravel-sand-cement mix.
Suggested Uses For Larsen Admix 101 Fortified Mortar: Touch up of architectural concrete: Leveling poured concrete before applying finish treatment: Repair of cracked or spalled sidewalks, driveways, steps, ramps, floors, swimming pools, patios; Underlayment on concrete floors before resilient tile is installed; Setting bed for ceramic and quarry tile, slate, marble, flagstone; Suitable for thin-set method of applying and terrazzo; Repair of foundation cracks and stucco walls; and all types of grouting and pointing.
