New Champ Lift Truck

A new single axle drive, rough terrain fork lift truck, with power and performance comparable to four wheel drive models, has been announced by Champ Corporation. The new 6,000 pound capacity lift truck, the 640 HLP, has been designed specifically for construction work and the sure, reliable performance often required on extremely muddy and sandy rough terrain.

The added power for the new 640 is developed through a specially adapted Planetary Drive Axle with the low ratio of 19.5 to 1. The unique Planetary gear system, develops full torque and power directly at the wheel hub. Drive tires, 16:00 x 20, are the largest yet used on a fork lift truck. Each drive tire gives 229 square inches of surface contact for maximum, wide grip power traction.

The 640 HLP offers lifting to 30 ft. with "free lift" design-permitting the load to proceed the mast structure to the full lifting height. Other important features include towability at highway speeds, Champ's patented "Levelzer steer axle, extra long tilt cylinders, finger tip hydraulic controls, fluid drive and heavy duty 12 in. channel steel frame.

Adding Machine

A new compact electric adding machine which prints is the "Quanta R", recently announced by Olivetti Underwood Corporation.

Accountants who need a portable electric adding machine for carrying from place to place, corporate executives, general business offices, and retail outlets are principal users of portable electric adding machines.

The new Quanta R is compact less than half a cubic foot in size yet it is precision-engineered. Like other Olivetti Underwood office machines, Quanta R has distinct characteristics high-speed printing, responsive touch, and dependability.

The business applications of this durably-constructed electric adding machine are many.

Quanto R produces credit balances, it calculates discounts and percentage increases. It can also be used for checking cash receipts, and for figuring payrolls.

For operating simplicity and greater accuracy, Quanta R features a standard, 10-key keyboard. There are single zero (0) and double zero (00) keys to speed large-number calculations. There is a back-space key, a clearing key, and repeat keys.

With Quanta R, no significant maintenance is required. The Quanta R sells for 139.95, and an attractive carrying case is available. This is a special convenience for businessmen who work in their homes.
