THE GOP WILL HAVE TO STEER A CAREFUL COURSE
The GOP will have to steer a careful course if it wants to cash in on the opportunity it sees to take both Congress and the Presidency in 1968. Only part of its victory in November was a result of annoyance at Johnson. This could vanish with even modest progress toward peace in Viet Nam. So mere opposition will not do. The GOP must attack big problems constructively.
They intend to offer health, school and poverty programs-minimizing Washington's role and stressing state and private enterprise. But leaders admit the habit of opposing may die hard, especially when there's a good case for economy today.
Elect Piotrowski President
Bob Tubesing, Post President, congratulates Harry Piotrowski on his election to Presidency of the Mason Contractors Association of Milwaukee. William Dentinger, newly elected Secretary, is on the left. Other officers elected are: James Luterbach, Vice President and LeRoy Ballman, Treasurer. Under Mr. Tubesing's leadership the MCAA Chapter inaugurated many new and progressive programs.
