Located on Salt Lake City's South Temple Street, the "Park Avenue" of Utah, the design necessitated one that would maintain the dignity of this landmark boulevard while still providing the space for the company's needs.
The poured-in-place concrete frame provides the structural system as well as furnishing the accent for the masonry walls.
The brick, in addition to being in soldier coursed, was laid in a three course graduated pattern which places each alternating course on a different plane. The result is an intricate texture of relief and shadow. The pattern is more distinct in the foreground of the retaining walls. All the corners are quirk-mitered and the row-lok cap matches on both sides.
