Here's How MORGEN Scaffolding Improves Your Material Handling System
Morgen Scaffolding elevates the masons, their material and the tenders as the wall is built.
Morgen keeps the mason at his most productive level from the time he goes on the scaffold until the wall is topped out. Both the wall and the material are always convenient waist high. It eliminates bending down or reaching up to lay brick or block.
Masons lose no time waiting for rescaffolding.
Morgen Scaffolding is an integral part of an efficient masonry material handling system. Because there is plenty of room to stock and handle palletized material, only the mason handles individual pieces. Material handling ends only when the material is placed in the wall.
Morgen Scaffolding is erected only once, at the beginning of the job. Then it can be moved completely assembled to other walls in the job area.
The scaffolding has fewer parts to handle. It consists of three basic parts: the carriage, the tower and the bracing.
Each carriage has a built-in winch with a two-part line to elevate the working platform. It provides up to an 8' 2" wide working area including a 40" wide runway for buggies and carts.
The tower consists of a stub base with heights up to 200 provided by installing identical sleeved inserts. Each tower is capable of supporting a load of 16,000 pounds. That's eight tons-more than 2" planking will support. Towers are spaced on 71%' centers. We use standard 16' long planks. Planks are handled only once for any wall height, and then only by men working on the ground. Leveling individual towers is done with leveling screws.
Because the towers are tied together in pairs by conventional or panel braces, they can be moved completely assembled from wall to wall. Pairs up to 30 feet tall can be moved by fork lifts, up to 200 feet tall by crane.
Morgen Scaffolding is the easiest to set up because it follows the grade. Bases of towers do not have to be level with each other.
Morgen towers up to 20 feet tall are free standing on the 5-foot wide base. Over 20 feet, they are tied to the wall with a stiff arm which makes the scaffold just about as rigid as the wall.
Contractors who keep track of production and profits tell us Morgen Scaffolding provides a greater return on their investment than any other equipment. It has sometimes paid for itself on the first job, and continues to pay handsome profits for years. Some Morgen Scaffolding built 14 years ago is still making money for its owners.
We have worksheets available so you can figure how much Morgen Scaffolding will increase the profit on your next job. Write for them and complete literature today.
