Gas Powered Saw

Target Quickie features a powerful 6.3 cubic inch gasoline engine developing 6½ HP and driving the cutting blade at 4500 RPM under load.

Target Quickie can be easily converted to wet cutting with simple addition of a low cost wet cutting kit, thereby utilizing 12" Target "X-HS" High Speed reinforced abrasive blades, and dust-free cutting. Maximum cutting depth is 4".

Target Quickie saws are available with a complete kit including a protective steel case, spare air filters and parts, extra oil, wrenches, and fuel container.

Heavy-Duty Stake Bodies
Midwest Body & Manufacturing Division truck body manufacturer of Paris, Illinois has introduced a new line of stake bodies. The heavy-duty series is built for tough hauling jobs in lengths of 12' 6" to 22' with 42" rack height. The Profitmaker line is designed for economical, reliable hauling and is available in 8' 2" to 18' body lengths with a rack height of 30 to 42".

Skytrak Fork Lift
A new fork lift tractor, the 710 Skytrak, largest in the Skytrak line, has been introduced by PCM Division of Koehring Company, Port Washington, Wis.

The 710, which replaces the 700, features a unique "shooting boom" which enables the 710 to raise materials to a height of 30' 6", reach out 16' at ground level or place material as much as five feet below grade. It is capable of lifting 4000 lbs. at 24" load centers, as compared to 3000 lbs. at 12" centers on the old 700 Skytrak.

Other features of the 710 Skytrak which combine to insure smooth performance are full power steering, torque converter transmission and hydraulic axle stabilizers.

The 710 is mounted on a heavy duty frame and powered by a 60 hp industrial tractor with five forward and reverse gears. Rear mounted, high flotation drive tires keep the 710 in or out of the most adverse construction site conditions. Its short wheelbase allows maximum maneuverability, and the low profile of the 710 permits operation under ceilings as low as 10 feet.


Spec-Data Report
A new four-page Spec-Data report on Truss design masonry wall reinforcement has been issued by Dur-O-wal. The folder complies to the editorial style prescribed by the Construction Specificatior Institute.

The folder describes basic uses and limitations of truss design horizontal joint reinforcing in masonry walls.

Packaging, finishes, grades, shapes and sizes, as well as standards are discussed and illustrated.

Technical data for the performance of the material in composite and cavity walls are reviewed. Installation of truss designed masonry wall reinforcement is illustrated. Various technical publications available from the manufacturers are listed.

Safety Goggles
A new line of safety goggles featuring polycarbonate lenses has been introduced by Jackson Products, Airco Welding Products Division, Air Reduction Company, Inc., 5523 Nine Mile Road, Warren, Michigan. Called Snugside Goggles, they offer outstanding protection against flying particles, dust and splash, and at reasonable cost.

The goggles are especially noteworthy for their comfort, according to Jackson. The soft vinyl frames fit the average man's face snugly without binding, and can be worn for extended periods of time without irritating or leaving marks on the skin.

The virtually indestructible lenses come in either clear or green, as do the frames. Lenses are replaceable and are free from optical distortion.

Snugside Goggles can be supplied with perforated frames for extra ventilation or with screened vents for additional dust-and-splash protection. Both models meet all impact and penetration requirements of the USASI safety standard, as well as Federal Specification GG-G-53 lb.
