Brick Value House
Prefabricated trusses swung into position as soon as the roof plate is secured. The sliding-glass door opening is used for easy access into the house.

Mortarless brick flooring is installed before the partitions are erected. This facilitates the fitting and minimizes the cutting. The building paper between the slab and the floor brick evens out the high spots and provides good bearing.

Not included in the $7,500 cost was this small patio paved with mortarless brick, and the extremely simple latticed brick "fence" using the same Spartan brick as in the house proper.
