In Other Words
(Continued from page 23) under the Comprehensive General Liability and Umbrella Excess Liability policy format. Your liability limits should be high, both for bodily injury and property damage liability. To do otherwise is foolish economy; this is an area where your business is particularly vulnerable to large losses.
Question: We had a very serious employee injury in 1968. How much will it affect my renewal premiums?
Answer: I can't give a specific answer without knowing more facts, any one of which could change the figure, but for your size operation I would guess that the renewal cost will be roughly ten percent higher for the three years beginning in 1970, with no increase this year.
Question: At what point does it become practical for a contractor to justify paying for an "Umbrella" Liability policy?
Answer: Competition has forced the price of this fine coverage down to the point where it makes sense for most small businesses and even successful individuals. With your gross receipts of $600,000, I'll bet that Umbrella costs you little or nothing more than you are presently spending for considerable less protection. If you find this not true, call me and I'll arrange to have our Pittsburgh office cover you on the basis I have in mind.
Question: Can you explain the difference between Actual Cash Value and Stated Amount Comprehensive Insurance on cars and trucks?
Answer: Yes, In either case (with rare exception), the amount paid by the insurance company in the event of total loss is what it would cost to replace the vehicle today, taking into account depreciation and current market value. The difference is in how premiums are calculated, most fleets being rated on the basis of stated amounts.

5 Masons on MORGEN =6 Masons on Frames!
For every five masons you have on Morgen Scaffolding, you'll get the production you'd expect from six! You don't have to pay the sixth man that isn't there. The two level platform is raised frequently to keep the masons working waist high to the wall at all times. Quality is constant. There is no reaching, no stooping. Masons can see what they are doing.
Material is always at the masons fingertips on the upper platform constantly at the same position without the reaching up, stooping, or re-handling required by side brackets or climbing brackets on frame scaffolding.
There is no interruption while planks, material and men are being moved to a higher level. Every time you move masons from one location to another, you lose 10 to 15 minutes in getting reorganized before full production is regained.
By keeping your masons working waist high without interruption for rescaffolding-you'll get 20% or more increase in production. And without additional laborers.
Write for literature today. You'll see why you can't afford to be without Morgen Scaffolding another year.
