Illustrated Bulletin
A new, illustrated Bulletin (No. DRB-568) from Electro Refractories & Abrasives Division, Ferro Corporation, gives information on a recently developed line of diamond blades designed specifically for cutting refractory brick.
Both wide and narrow notch segmental types are shown. Four general categories of abrasive resistance and bond hardness to meet cutting requirements for high-alumina, glazed acid-proof, first-quality firebrick, and soft, granular refractories are described.
The Bulletin explains how the new diamond blades provide more efficient and economical performance at much higher cutting rates than conventional abrasive wheels.
Engineering assistance available for the custom design of diamond blades to assure optimum performance in specific situations is summarized.
