Masonry Magazine January 1969 Page. 7
Greetings From President Bidwell
Welcome to Boston-the city of variety and bold contrast-a city that is modern, yet, does not hide the old world charm and friendliness found in the New England area.
Our convention committee has done an outstanding job in providing you with a diversified convention program, yet allowing you enough time to see the historical buildings and the new, ever-growing Boston skyline.
The '69 MCAA Educational Trade Show is the largest ever sponsored by MCАА. We thank each of the firms for their continued support and this tangible contribution to the advancement of our Industry.
The past year has been an important one-one which we are sure will be long remembered as the turning point in the progressive thinking of the masonry industry. First of all the All Weather Program has now turned into an industry effort with the support of Bricklayers, Masons & Plasterers International Union of America, Laborers' International Union of North America, National Concrete Masonry Association, Portland Cement Association and Structural Clay Products Institute.
Our Management Institute continues to break all records and during 1969 the 1000th person will have attended this course. As in the past our insurance program continues its steady increase and many are benefiting from these worthwhile programs. In the area of jurisdiction we have also stood our ground and there are signs that this matter will be very shortly resolved. The excellent type of team work we had between the officers, Executive Board and members has made this progress possible.
On behalf of MCAA our sincere thanks to each of you for attending this, our biggest and best convention. Join with us in 1969 in making it the most profitable year ever.
Sincerely,
Donald R. Bidwell
