VARIABLE PENSION PLAN
MCAA continues to offer a variety of pension services and options, with the accent on individual consultation, a necessity since the circumstances of each member firm are different enough to preclude mass merchandising techniques. Members are nonetheless urged to inquire about such services, either on an individual or group basis.
LONG TERM DISABILITY BENEFITS
Following many months of negotiation and marketing efforts by our consultants, we have ready for MCAA'S consideration and approval an attractively priced and practical Long Term Disability Benefits Plan which offers the options of a 30 day, 90 day or 180 day waiting period and selection of monthly indemnity amounts in multiples of $100 up to a maximum of $1,000 or 75% of average monthly earnings. Premium level is adjustable by age bracket and premium is payable annually, semi-annually or quarterly.
While most of us have at least reasonable protection in the event of death, a major gap can exist when lengthy disability results. This plan is specifically designed to plug that gap and is urgently recommended, again, even if the total cost is borne by participating employees.
The alternative is to sometime make that terrible decision about when payment of full salary must be discontinued for a key employee and we all must admit that there comes a time when business logic must call a halt to such salary continuance. This insurance program is the only clear, fair and economical way to establish and announce a firm company policy in this respect and provide for such an eventuality.
OTHER WORK IN PROGRESS
We should also stress now the availability of our consulting firm to be of assistance in any insurance matter, including Workmen's Compensation and Liability lines, as well as general advice and assistance in claim and other matters. Contact MCAA's Executive Office, 208 South La Salle Street, Chicago, 60604, or Walter T. Derk, Fred. S. James & Co., 1 North La Salle Street, Chicago, 60602, for such assistance at any time.
