New Raise-Up Scaffolding
System Now Available
from Union Metals Industries
Hoist-O-Matic automatic raise-up scaffolding, by Union Metals Industries, Inc., Allentown, Pa., is a patented system designed to decrease masonry construction costs.
The system boasts many features. Most important among these is a winch and crossarm that permits one man to easily raise the working platform as little as 4½" at a time. With this controlled height feature, the mason can constantly work at his most comfortable waist-high level. In addition, the mason's material is also kept at a constant waist-height due to a uniquely designed offset platform that allows him to stand on a lower level while it places his material within easy reach.
Additional scaffold height can be attained by simply adding poles and braces, while the raising of the working platforms by 4½" increments continues without interrupting the mason's work. Thus, scaffold-high is never reached. Another feature allows the contractor to erect a sturdy scaffolding system on unlevel ground conditions without the need for digging or blocking.
One example of the savings of a Hoist-O-Matic system, is the Reading, Pa. Housing Authority's high-rise apartment project, pictured here while under construction. Hoist-O-Matic cut the masonry costs on this job by 20%. In addition, it has been found that since this job, every major masonry contractor in the Reading, Pa. area now uses Hoist-O-Matic scaffolding.
THIS IS
A BRIBE
We know you won't buy Hoist-O-Matic automatic raise-up scaffolding just because you read about it. No matter how much we tell you, like how great it is, how your masons never reach scaffold-high on it, how they always work in their most productive and comfortable position without having to bend, stoop or reach, how it saves you money; all kinds of money, and time; all kinds of time. Sure, you may be impressed, but impressions don't help our profit picture.
So. Here comes the bribe: We'll send an expert and a complete scaffolding system, to use as long and hard as you like on your next job, if in return, you'll pay Hoist-O-Matic's freight charges to the site. Then, if at job's completion, you're sold, we'll sell, and even finance. If you're not, pay our way home (Hoist-O-Matic's way; our expert will fend for himself) and we'll leave. No strings, loopholes, or scaffolds attached.
With a deal like this, bribery may become a nice word. For an Untaped, Confidential conversation on the details, get in touch with Mr. Untaped or Mr. Confidential at:
