McGolpin Award

Charis. H. Gray, national vice-president of the Canadian Structural Clay Association, Toronto, Ontario, seen on the left, presented the McGolpin Award, accompanied by a check for $100, to the top graduating brick. layer-apprentice Umberto Egidio Gorgi. Guelph, at the annual Awards Dinner held at George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto. Mr. Gorgi is indentured to the firm of A. Gorgi Masonry Ltd., Guelph, Ontario.


National Expands

National Wire Products Corporation, Baltimore, will build a new plant for the manufacture of concrete reinforcing steel mesh products in Atlanta. This will be National Wire's fifth complete manufacturing facility. The firm, which is the country's largest independent producer of concrete reinforcing steel mesh, has other plants at Baltimore, Savannah, Tampa and Kearny, New Jersey.
