Meet Your President
The newly elected President of Mason Contractors Association of America, Allen Young, brings thirty-four years of industry experience to this Association's highest office. Starting as a bricklayer's apprentice in 1936, he received his journeyman's card in 1940. Today he is a principal in the firm of Young Bros., based in Memphis, Tennessee.
He has served MCAA as Vice President, State Chairman, Membership Chairman, and as Memphis Chapter President. In addition he has been a member of the Association's Labor Relations Committee and served on many advisory groups.
Mr. Young and his brother, Rivers Young, organized their company in 1955, which has since won numerous awards for outstanding masonry execution in the Memphis area. Last year the firm was awarded first place honors in local competition for their outstanding masonry work on the dormitory of Christian Brothers College.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Young and his wife, Louise, have been married since 1937 and have a son and a daughter. Their son, Raymond, works in a supervisory capacity for the Young Bros. firm.
