Labor Relations Yearbook-1969. By the Editors of Labor Relations Reporter. 860 pp. Indexed. BNA Books, Washington, D. C. $12.00 per copy.

A comprehensive and authoritative statistical profile of the year's economic developments affecting the labor-management relationship is but a part of the extensive reference and research material found in BNA's Labor Relations Yearbook-1969, just published by BNA Books, a division of The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. (BNA). Opening with a chronology of the year's major events, the Yearbook provides a complete roundup of developments in collective bargaining, including special reports on the terms of pattern-setting contract settlements, median wage increases, and wage increases coming due in 1970. Summaries of labor relations conferences and of the activities of labor organizations are followed by reports on the role of the federal government in labor relations. Economic data on trends in wages, salaries, employment, earnings, hours, labor costs, productivity, and the cost of fringe benefits are buttressed by special tables. Copies are available from the publisher, BNA Books, 1231 25th St., N. W., Washington, D. C. 20037.

New Film by PCA
The "quiet revolution in concrete construction" during the 1960's is the theme of a new 16 mm. color film produced by the Portland Cement Association.

Concrete Now-Prelude to the Seventies presents a dramatic 22-minute summary of achievements in concrete architecture and engineering during the 1960's. It relates major events in concrete construction to important social, political, and scientific trends of the era. The film cites concrete facilities at work in water pollution control; concrete industrialized building solutions to the housing shortage; new techniques in concrete construction of highways, airport facilities, and public transportation; and concrete outdoor living designs for the new leisure. The film highlights the increasing role of aesthetics in concrete architecture. Prints may be borrowed from any PCA regional office or from the Portland Cement Association, Dept. PI, Old Orchard Road, Skokie, III. 60076.
