It's a Red Letter Month
for Masonry!
Starting with this issue, we add another big Plus in technical data! The Structural Clay Products Institute now joins the National Concrete Masonry Association in providing MCAA members and readers with the latest engineering and research material available.
SCPI's editorial contribution is "Technical Notes on Brick and Tile Construction." This month's feature deals with a detailed discussion of cleaning clay masonry products. The eight-page supplement covers everything from routine cleaning and maintenance of new and existing masonry to removal of the toughest stains.
NCMA's "TEK" series has been a long-standing adjunct to Masonry and is familiar to most readers as an invaluable guide to solving specific technical problems dealing with concrete masonry construction. TEK No. 25 in this issue covers the installation of concrete masonry lintels. Included in this paper are recommendations, construction details and design data. The material is amply illustrated with figures and charts to give the reader a good insight into this phase of masonry construction.
No other trade publication offers this type of masonry data. Make sure you receive, read and save the supplements from each issue of Masonry as a means of adding to your technical library. Start expanding your data files now with this issue and with subsequent editions of Masonry as they are published.
Both of these technical brochures may be easily detached for filing or placement in a spiral binder.
