Guaranteed Waterproofing
Guaranteed waterproofing is the claim made by the manufacturers of Anhydro-Set, a cement/concrete additive which has been job-tested in selected areas of New York State.
It is recommended for specific waterproofing applications with reinforced concrete, mass concrete, cinder concrete, mortar, cement stucco, cement floor top coating, and cement blocks. It will sharply reduce the amount of water required for hydration and has excellent anti-freeze qualities when used at low temperatures, according to the manufacturers.
Anhydro-Set is packed in both 1-gallon and 5-gallon plastic bottles as well as in 50-gallon drums for bigger jobs. The company plans to market the product nationally in the immediate future.

Molly-Grip Nylon Anchors
A new line of Molly-Grip nylon anchors that can be used to attach straps, hangers, framing, and equipment to a variety of low-strength materials such as brick, plaster, cinder block, or even stone, marble or wood, has been introduced by the Molly Company.
Designed with a split, serrated shank that spreads and anchors firmly when a nail or screw is hammered or threaded through the head, the anchor is vibration proof and shock resistant and will hold loads ranging from 460 lbs. in brick in a 3/16" diameter to 1,150 lbs. in cinder block in 7/16" diameter. In the 1½" diameter size, the materials fail before the anchor pulls loose.
