Technical Bulletin: Efflorescence Prevention
Efflorescence is a common issue that can affect mortar and grout installations. It is caused by the migration of soluble salts to the surface, where they react with carbon dioxide in the air to form a white, powdery deposit.
To prevent efflorescence:
* Use low-alkali mortar and grout
* Ensure proper drainage to prevent water accumulation
* Seal the installation with a breathable sealer
