McQuaig's book is an invaluable guide to men who are contemplating bringing their sons into their businesses and to sons who are considering such moves. It helps them to understand the factors that must be considered in order to make the right decision, based on experience in career counselling and in advising executives on management problems.
McQuaig points out all the delicate psychological elements existent in a father-son relationship. What are the father's real motives and attitudes? Is this the right business for his son? Can they both accept the status alteration of this new relationship? From the son's point of view, is the son prepared to understand his father's difficulties in effectively transferring responsibility? Can he accept the potential extension of "little boy" status? By forcing them to objectively evaluate all the potential difficulties of a joint business relationship, and weigh them against the possible benefits, this book can guide fathers and sons to come to the correct conclusion and prevent possible disasters.
Your Business, Your Son and You sells for $10.00 and is available directly from the publisher, B. Klein Publications Inc., 11 Third St., Rye, N.Y. 10580.

Often this is very time consuming and expensive.
Divided into two sections, the Handbook For Florida Contractors is actually two books in one-Book 1: How to Pass Your Examinations for Journeyman, Master, Contractor, and Book II: State and County Laws for General and Specialty Contractors. In Book I, Gladstone advises the uninitiated how, where, when, what, to study (Continued on page 24)
