The Signode Way
The Signode packaging method is helping to save partition block from its competition. A handcart available from Signode can carry a strapped 46-block unit from the large breakaway package to each work station, resulting in more productivity with less fatigue. With some powered carts, two packs totaling 92 partition block can be transported.
Where have all the helpers gone? With packaging and the resultant elimination of manual handling of block, only one helper is needed on the scaffold for the six masons.
With systematic positioning of block at each work station, they are handled for the first time when the mason puts them in the wall.
The strapped packages of the Signode way will not spill in lift-truck handling. And the clear clean work area makes the job of the lift-truck easier and safer.
A jobsite littered with broken block and pallets becomes a thing of the past with the Signode way. Not only is money saved in the clean-up job but the site becomes better and safer to work in.
