ROBERT TUBESING
Vice President, Region C
After holding a number of important offices with MCAA, Bob Tubesing now assumes the role of Regional Vice President with headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
Bob previously was Treasurer of MCAA (1970-71) as well as President of the Milwaukee Chapter. He also has been MCAA's Wisconsin State Chairman and Chairman of the Publications and Material Handling Committees.
Bob is President of Tubesing Construction Company which was founded by his father, William F. Tubesing, in 1911. The firm has diversified and performs a variety of masonry and construction projects in the Greater Milwaukee area.
Bob is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. During World War II he served with the U.S. Sth Air Force in Europe. He is active in many of the civic functions in his community and is a director of the State Bank in West Allis, Wis., and trustee of the United Pension Fund and the ACEA Welfare Fund.
He and his wife Dorothy have four children-Jean, Karen, Richard and Donna.
ROY A. ELAM
Vice President, Region D
Roy A. "Bill" Elam of St. Louis serves as President of Roy A. Elam Masonry, Inc. headquartered in that city. He started in the masonry business as an apprentice working for his father prior to World War II. He interrupted his work to perform a hitch in the Army with service in the Pacific Theatre, after which he rejoined his father in the mason contracting business.
He has served as President of the MCAA St. Louis Chapter for three years and is presently on the Arbitration Board, a position he has held for a number of years.
Bill is a member of the Moolah Temple Shrine in St. Louis and marches every Monday evening in the Arab Patrol. For sporting activities he enjoys hunting, fishing and boating.
He and his wife Connie have three daughters and two grandchildren.
JAMES J. CAROLLO
Vice President, Region H
James J. Carollo serves as President of Carollo & Allyn, Inc. in Las Vegas, a mason contracting firm well known for its high-rise structures in the western area.
After serving a term as Vice President of the Masonry Contractors Association of Southern Nevada, Jim is now President of that organization. He also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Federated Employers of Nevada; a Board member of Las Vegas Builders Exchange, and past Chairman of Health & Welfare Trust of Bricklayers Local #3.
He began his apprenticeship in 1954 in Chicago and worked there for nine years. He moved to Las Vegas in 1963 and a year later started his company.
Jim enjoys golf, boating and snow skiing. He and his wife Kathleen were married in 1961 in Hawaii and have two children, Tony and Lisa.
