Saves $308 in Erection Labor in Three Hours with MORGEN Scaffolding
Paul Worthen has been figuring it costs him 10¢ a square foot to erect tubular frame scaffolding.
He was delighted to find how much less it cost to erect Morgen Scaffolding. He used his Lull High Lift with a Morgen Fork Lift Bracket to assemble pairs of Morgen towers 38½-feet high, at ground level. Then the fork lift tilted the pairs of towers erect, carried them to the wall and set them in position. Two men and a fork lift operator set up 16 towers this way and were ready for the masonry crew in less than three hours. This is over 4400 square feet of scaffolding at less than 3¢ a square foot in labor.
In addition to the increase in production he got from the masons, Mr. Worthen was able to cut his labor-to-mason ratio from one laborer for two masons to one laborer for three masons.
Mr. Worthen says he has eliminated one extra scaffolding crew because he is able to put masons on Morgen Scaffolding, winch the platforms up as work progresses, and keep them there until the wall is topped out, without having to move men, material or planking.
