"Regardless of Which Crew I Used, I Got 27% More Production on MORGEN Scaffolding"
"I just couldn't believe it," says Marvin Cartright of Cartright Masonry, Ft. Worth, Texas. "I know Morgen claims a 20% increase in production, which I took with a grain of salt, but here I was getting 27%!"
Cartright had 40 Morgen towers 56% feet high on one section of a shopping mall in Lubbock, Texas, and an equal amount of tubular frame scaffolding on another section.
"On the possibility that I had a better crew on the Morgen scaffolding. I decided to switch crews. And sure enough, I got a 27% increase from the second crew on Morgen. Keeping the masons constantly at ideal working level and eliminating time lost for rescaffolding makes a big difference."
But that wasn't Cartright's only benefit. He erected pairs of towers 561-feet high with a fork lift and moved them intact from wall to wall, slashing his scaffolding erection and moving labor costs.
The general contractor, Pickens-Bond of Little Rock, Ark., was so pleased with the completion time and the quality of the work that he took Cartright along to similar jobs in other cities. "Needless to say, I left the tubular frame scaffolding at home."
