IMI Receives Support
Leslie V. Whitney (right), business agent for BM&PIU Local #5, California, presents a check to Neal English, Executive Director of the International Masonry Institute, Washington, D.C., as a contribution to the IMI promotion fund. The check was the first from the Los Angeles area following the new agreements.
Hertz Opens New Yards
Hertz Equipment Rental Corp., New York, N.Y., has announced the opening of two new construction equipment rental facilities in the South. As a result of a six-fold growth in the past decade, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) branch has occupied a newly remodeled 7,200 sq. ft. building at 2650 Gandy Blvd., 100 yards west of Interstate Highway 75 in St. Petersburg.
In Birmingham, Ala., an entirely new Hertz rental yard has been established at 2150 Highway 31-South, about two miles below the Cahaba River.
