Completes High Rise Three Months Earlier with MORGEN than Could Have Been Done with Swing Scaffolding
By using Morgen Scaffolding we were able to top out brickwork two to three weeks after the general contractor poured the roof deck. This enabled the building to be completed three months sooner than if we had used swinging scaffolding. The general contractor was able to begin constructing the roof parapets on the east and west sides of the building the same week the roof pour was completed, thereby closing in the building sooner.
Our production was increased because masons were kept constantly working at waist height for maximum efficiency. Even though they were putting out more work, the bricklayers said they were not as tired after working a day on Morgen, because they no longer had to stoop and reach.
I particularly appreciated the ability of Morgen to scaffold around difficult places and uneven terrain. The work platform was as stable at 90 feet as it was when we were only ten feet off the ground. I like the provision for guard rails and toe boards to meet safety requirements.
Considering the acceleration of production, the decrease in labor costs, the ease of erection and safety, I would highly recommend Morgen Scaffolding.
