R. E. "BOB" BEAUPRE
Vice President, Region I

A Canadian, Bob Beaupre attended Michigan Tech University on a hockey scholarship beginning in 1954. On his return to Calgary he began his masonry career in concrete block sales and architectural promotion for Consolidated Concrete Ltd. His contracting experience began in 1962 when he joined the firm of Morstead & Son Ltd. in Burnaby, B.C. In 1967 he moved to Vancouver to establish a branch office in British Columbia, and at that time became part owner of the company.

In 1972 Harry Morstead retired from the firm and, together with Ronald Graham, Bob formed a new organization, Morstead Masonry Ltd. with offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. They also have an office in Saskatchewan under the name Graco Masonry Ltd. Bob is Vice President of the company and Graham is President. Operating in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Regina, Morstead Masonry Ltd. handles most of the large masonry projects in Western Canada.

Bob is Past-President of the B.C. and Yukon Chapter of the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association and is very active in the local and national associations. Effective at the 1974 annual meeting of CMCA, he became National President.

Bob and his wife, Faye, have five children, three girls and two boys. He and Faye enjoy skiing and the entire family, as Bob puts it, enjoys boating in the "beautiful Pacific Coast waters of British Columbia."
