Walls that slope inward are no problem
for Morgen Scaffolding
Wright Associates, Columbus, Ga., state flatly that the masonry for the drama theatre at La Grange College couldn't have been done profitably without Morgen Scaffolding.
The walls curved from front to back, the walls sloped inward one foot for every ten feet of height, and the roofline sloped.
But Wright Associates has owned Morgen Scaffolding for years, and knew its flexibility. The job was scaffolded first on the inside for block construction, then moved assembled by crane to the outside before the roof was built. The Morgen towers easily adapt to curved walls, compared to frame scaffolding.
"By using Morgen Scaffolding with an extended platform and adjustable stiff arms, we were able to stay well within our cost estimates," construction superintendent Bill Barry reported. And they continued to enjoy the 20% increase in masons production that they are used to getting from Morgen.
