In August, 1974, a 22.1% Workmen's Compensation dividend was declared and sent to the members who had joined the program as of November 1, 1973. A 10% General Insurance dividend was sent to those members who joined that part of the program prior to November 1, 1973. These figures are most significant from many standpoints, not the least of which is the reduction of contractors' expenses, which enable enrolled contractors to be more competitive.
The MCAA-endorsed General Business and Workmen's Compensation program has developed further momentum during the fourth quarter of 1974. Because of the inherent benefits of the program, we expect by the end of 1975:
• 250 participants enrolled in program.
$3.2 million of written premium.
Although future dividends are impossible to predict, it is hoped that through loss prevention activities of both CNA/insurance and enrolled contractors, a reasonable dividend will be forthcoming in future years. In any event, the dividend feature of the MCAA-sponsored program offers an exciting new aspect of potential profits and growth.
Will the MCAA/CNA Business Insurance and Workmen's Compensation program be right for you? To answer that question you need information. You can get this through your CNA agent, who will be calling on you. Whether you enroll in the MCAA/CNA program or not, you should compare its advantages to what you now have. At worst, you'll (1) discover that you have as good a policy as you thought you had, or better, and (2) be in an improved position to discuss insurance when renewal time comes around again. It can't hurt for your present agent to know that you are keeping your eyes open.
But, you may discover that the MCAA/CNA Safety Group Insurance Plan is as good as we think it is. If so, welcome aboard.

due. The $50,000 principal sum costs just $45 annually for individuals, $60 for family plan coverage. We can't imagine any member doing without it. An illustrative brochure outlining full details is available for the asking.
# In-Hospital Benefits Program
Recently improved to provide higher benefits for a longer period of time with fewer restrictions, this MCAA membership benefit is also underwritten by CNA/insurance. It pays daily in-hospital cash benefits -with no waiting period as follows: employees, $50; spouse, $30; children, $15.
The maximum benefit period is 730 days that is, $36,500 for employees at age 65. Employee and spouse benefits are reduced by one-half after employee reaches age 65 to age 70, when coverage terminates. Premiums are payable semi-annually based upon employee's attained age at that time, adjustable by ten and five year age brackets. This also is fully explained in an illustrated brochure.
