Masonry Design Award
Architect Goodwin B. Steinberg. AIA, San Jose, Calif., is pictured with his Design Recognition award acknowledging his "outstanding architectural design and use of unit masonry" by the Santa Clara-San Benito Joint Masonry Institute, a component organization of the Masonry Institute headquartered in San Francisco. The recognition was for Steinberg's contemporary-styled residence in Los Altos Hills, Calif.
IMI Promotion Meeting Set for Virginia Beach
The New Cavalier Hotel, Virginia Beach, Va., will be the site for the International Masonry Institute's annual promotion meeting. July 20-23, 1975. Masonry Industry promotion institutes, local and national masonry associations, and other industry organizations are invited to send representatives.
The meeting will be family oriented, so delegates are encouraged to bring wives and children.
There will be a reception on Sunday, July 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The opening session will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday.
Following this there will be a get-acquainted coffee for the ladies. A bus tour to a nearby point of interest is planned one morning for wives and children.
The business sessions are scheduled for 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. daily and will cover timely topics aimed at providing guidance for the operation of effective masonry promotion programs.
Virginia Beach is served by three major airlines out of Norfolk Airport, 20 minutes from the New Cavalier. Invitations are being mailed to all IMI contributors and delegates who attended the 1974 meeting in Carmel, Calif.
