Meet Your New President

One of MCAA's most devoted members, Robert F. Ebeling, Romeo, Michigan, was elected President at the Association's 26th Annual Convention held in San Diego, February 7-11.

Mr. Ebeling has had a varied and active career with MCAA as well as with the Masonry Industry in general. He moves up to the Presidency after having served two years as Vice President and three years as Secretary. For the past eight years, he has lead the Association's Apprenticeship Committee. Other vital positions that he holds in the Industry are Chairman of the International Masonry Apprenticeship Trust and Trustee of the Bricklayers & Trowel Trades International Pension Trust. In local and regional affairs, Bob has held the offices of President, Secretary, and Board Member of the Detroit Mason Contractors Association. He is Past Chairman of the Michigan Mason Contractors Association, and currently serves as Trustee and Treasurer of the Masonry Institute of Michigan.

On the business side, he is President and Field Manager of the firm Ebeling & Hicks, Inc., Romeo, Michigan, which firm has constructed many well-known institutional and commercial projects throughout the Detroit and Southeastern Michigan areas for more than twenty years.

During World War II, Bob was with the U. S. Army Infantry in the European Theater of Operations. He and his wife, Florence, are active in many areas of the American Lutheran Church, and with their six children, they reside in Romeo, Michigan.
