Vice President

EUGENE GEORGE
Vice President

MCAA's newly-elected Vice President, Eugene George, hails from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. He is a past President of the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association and has served MCAA as Secretary and Canadian Regional Vice President. In other Industry posts, he is a Trustee of both the International Masonry Institute and the Bricklayers & Trowel Trades International Pension Trust. Mr. George heads up the Masonry Industry All-Weather Council and is a member of that organization's Technical Task Group.

One of the Industry's most dedicated workers and inspiring leaders, Gene's attendance at Industry functions nears the perfect mark. In recognition of his able leadership, he was presented MCAA's highest honor-The Lead Man Award at the MCAA 1973 Annual Convention.

Gene is President of one of Canada's largest mason contracting firms, George & Asmussen, Ltd., of Kitchener and Montreal. When not engaged in the promotion of his own business and masonry construction in general, he relaxes in the operation of his thoroughbred racing stables, piloting his own plane, or playing hockey. An avid sportsman, he has been associated with the National Hockey League's New York Rangers as president of one of their prime farm clubs.

With all of this activity, he still finds time to engage in what he terms his most important role-being a devoted husband to his wife, Patsy, and father of their eight sons.
