MCAA's 1978 Conference Hotel the greatly expanded Las Vegas Hilton. The recent addition of a $20 million, 30-story tower brings the hotel's total room count to a whopping 2,783. The brand new Hilton Pavilion (lower right) has now virtually been completed and will house the MCAA meeting rooms and Educational Trade Show.
THE BIG CHANGE...IN '78!
MCAA's International Masonry Conference
1978 will be a year of significant changes for MCAA. Among these is the renaming of the Association's largest and most important annual event. Formerly called the Annual Convention, it will now be known as the MCAA International Masonry Conference & Educational Trade Show.
The dates for '78 are March 11-16. The site is the bustling Las Vegas Hilton in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.
MCAA President Robert Ebeling of Romeo, Mich., explained that the reasons for the name change are threefold:
To reflect the heavy emphasis on the educational value of these MCAA meetings.
To connote the true international nature of the meetings as the result of increasing attendance by members of the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association and others engaged in the Canadian masonry industry.
To give more prominent exposure to the word Masonry in all public and trade references to the meetings.
