How much are you paying to handle block?
That $18/hour difference can drive up in-the-wall costs by $144 every 8-hour day. You could lose your shirt if your construction crews use their hands instead of our system.
By the old method, a typical block is moved at least three to four times before it gets in the wall. Costs pile up when loads are broken down into smaller units, lifted into wheelbarrows, transported to work stations and re-stacked for the mason. All that handling can kill a day's time and your profits.
Signode's packaged block system lowers in-the-wall costs. Strapped block is easier to handle, less likely to spill and requires only one man for distribution.
Handcarts or power equipment carry strapped "packages" to each work station. The worker never handles individual block. Which means he won't tire as easily and he can work more efficiently. The only time individual block is handled is when the mason places it in the wall.
Next time, ask for packaged block. If overhandling is putting a strain on your costs, call your local Signode representative and ask him to show you how our system saves money.
Or ask your block supplier for packaged block at your next job. If he doesn't know about our system, show him the Signode Block Brochure you can get by writing us.
