Hoist-O-Matic Masonry Scaffolds
Improve productivity 20 percent or more

"The best scaffolding I ever used," that's the way Leo Schneider, of Leo A. Schneider Construction Company, Inc., described the Hoist-O-Matic scaffolding used on this Presbyterian Church.

Hoist-O-Matic is a mason's scaffolding dream—designed by a mason, for bricklayers, to make the job as easy and as productive as possible. That means faster job completions, increased profits.

Here's how it works. The Hoist-O-Matic platform is set up on the ground and loaded with materials. The men step on and both men and materials are moved up as the work progresses. One man, using a winch, moves the platform up in 9" increments, keeping the bricklayers at their most efficient working height.

The result is more than a 20 percent increase in production, with less fatigue, than when bricklayers work on fixed scaffolding. You get better daily bricklayer output because they are capable of laying more bricks per day and laying them as well at the end of the day. There's no stopping work to raise platforms, no planks to move, minimal bending and reaching while working. And as an extra feature, winter enclosures can be added that move up as a part of the platform to keep the men comfortable and efficient in weather that might otherwise put a stop to the job.

4102 East 61st, Tulsa, Oklahoma "My men just didn't get as tired, so they laid more brick per day. After the bricklayers were finished, Leo moved the scaffolding inside to work on the 34' ceiling.
