Bill Introduced to Aid Small Businesses

The Small Business Administration says 400,000 small businesses fail each year because they cannot afford the management and technical assistance they need. But Congressman Paul Trible of Virginia has introduced a bill to help alleviate the problem.

The Small Business Extension Agent Act would make extension agents available to give businessmen advice and to help them cope with the mountain of red tape and government regulations they must deal with.

"I believe that the small business community is on the verge of being taxed, inflated and regulated out of existence by the federal government," said Trible. "It's time to do something for, instead of to, small business."
