Safway scaffolds
"side-step" construction costs in Madison, Wis.
Cantilevered floors projecting out one above the other posed a problem in laying face brick on the new CUNA Credit Union Center. The contractor found the answer by renting 450 scaffold frames and 150 side brackets from Safway Steel Products. By using two bracket sizes (30" on one level and 24" on the next) and utilizing the top of the frames, he provided three working levels. In this way, he completed all six stories with only two scaffolding moves, cutting labor costs by 33%.
A timber base provided solid scaffolding support for all weather conditions, and served as a platform for skidding the scaffolding out to complete the top floors. Six-foot walk-thru frames provided unrestricted movement of workers and material.
Versatility, economy and high-strength-to-weight ratio make Safway scaffolding ideal for all types of projects. Quick and easy assembly means lower costs. And they're readily available - with sales and rental outlets in over 200 cities throughout the U.S.
