# Power Screed
The new power screed manufactured by Goldblatt Tool Co., 513 Osage, Kansas City, KS 66110, simultaneously strikes off, vibrates, compacts and floats a concrete slab in one easy pass to condition and leave a superior semi-finished surface. The unit can be fitted with 2 x 4", 2 x 6" or 2" x 8" screed boards up to 16' in length. It is claimed that one man can strike off up to 10,000 sq. ft. of concrete per hour, using the machine. The power screed features a conveniently located throttle control that adjusts from the handle to monitor engine speed and vibration efficiency.
# Waco Quik-Tower
Waco Scaffold & Shoring Co., Arlington Heights, IL 60005, has introduced the Model 0800-00 Quik-Tower rolling scaffold designed to save time and money on many off-the-floor jobs. Requiring no bolts, nuts or tools for erection or dismantling, the unit can be used on stairways, steps, ramps, and over obstacles. Slotted end frames allow adjustments every 3" with a simple locking device. The unit measures 29" wide x 6' long x 6'3" high and weighs 145 lbs.
# Chinstrap Data
A new illustrated data sheet on chinstraps and napestraps worn with protective headwear is available from Mine Safety Appliance Co., 600 Penn Center Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15235. The straps are especially effective during accelerated worker activity or under windy conditions, and are available for all types of headwear. # Stone Stompers
Stone Construction Equipment, Inc., 32 E. Main St., Honeoye, NY 14471, now offers eight models of its stompers with a choice of 4.5 hp Chrysler West Bend or 4 hp Robin engines in plate widths of 4 to 15". The stompers provide up to 2,700 lb. blows at 700 blows per minute. All models are lightweight, have handles for easy portability, and 6 large cushion mounts to isolate shock and vibration for reduced operator fatigue. # IPA Masonry Products
Complete rehabilitation, restoration and waterproofing of concrete and masonry structures are among the products, technology and services offered by IPA Systems, Inc., 2745 N. The products include injection epoxies for crack repairs, epoxy coatings for surface repair, and waterproofing, mortar additives, patching compounds and ready-to-use plaster mix for repair, waterproofing and damp-proofing. # Malsbary Heater
A newly designed oil-fired portable radiant space heater for heating in exposed and remote locations has been introduced by Malsbary Mfg. Co., P.O. Box 546, Rt. 119 North, Uniontown, PA 15401. The unit spreads its invisible infrared rays in a 360° heat pattern up to 100' from the heater with a calculated output of 150,000 btu. The unit operates up to 8 hrs. on kerosene or No. 1 fuel oil and requires a 115-volt plug-in outlet. For details request bulletin ROH from the company.
# Citation Washer
The smallest gasoline engine-driven cold-pressure washer in its line has been introduced by Citation Mfg. Co., Inc., P.O. Box 517, Siloam Springs, AR 72761. The new Model 210 produces 132 gals. per hour at 1,000 psi. Main components include a Hypro positive displacement pump and a 5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. The unit ships complete with portable gear, discharge hose, wand and detergent injection kit.
# New Essick Mixers
Essick Manufacturing Co., 1950 Santa Fe Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90021, has added two new economy-model plaster and mortar mixers to its line of construction and maintenance equipment. Major features of the new machines-Model 61 (6 cu. ft.) and Model 81 (8 cu. ft.)-are paddle-shaft seals and bearings that require no greasing, rigid drum ends, a detented clutching lever that prevents accidental engagement, and a unique cab-hinge design that minimizes freeze-ups. Both mixers have raised drums and forward chutes for dumping directly into wheelbarrows.
# Park Hydrasplit
The new S-1820 Husky is the latest addition of rugged stone-splitters added to the Hydrasplit line manufactured by Park Tool Co., P.O. Box 188, St. Cloud, MN 56301. The one-operator machine splits hard stone and granite up to 8" thick and 18" wide, and has the accuracy for splitting copings and sills on the job site. The 40,000 lb. cutting force is activated hydraulically by easy-to-use foot pumps. Safe, automatic hold-downs prevent scattering of stone pieces after the split.
# Butyl Rubber Caulk
A premium grade, general purpose sealant-Wilhold Butyl Rubber Caulk-provides positive, watertight protection in all architectural areas, claims the manufacturer, Wilhold Glues, Inc., 8707 Millergrove Dr., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670. The company says the product fills cracks, seals tight and permanently to all types of materials, including masonry, marble, stucco and concrete, and is ideal for use in expansion joints and curtain wall installations.
