Hyster Highlift
The new Hyster Z90A rough terrain, shooting boom forklift offers impressive lift and reach features. Designed especially for the construction industry, the unit has a maximum lift height of 37 ft., and 21% ft. of reach from the front of the tires to the face of the forks. Load capacity ranges from 9,000 lbs. for unloading trucks and moving material to 2,250 lbs. when the load is at full reach. A 3-section telescoping boom is the heart of the 290A lift system. Sheeting Material
The Griffolyn Division of Reef Industries, P.O. Box 33248 Houston, TX 77033, manufactures a 3-ply nylon reinforced polyvinyl sheeting material for construction applications. Named T-75, the fire-retardant fabric has a fish-net reinforcing pattern that will expand and contract with high winds or extreme pressure, depending on the application. The outdoor life span of T-75, the company says, is 3 continuous years of outside exposure, with longer life when not exposed to sunlight.
Masonry Pin-Grips
Star Expansion Industries, Mountainville, NY 10953, offers a masonry pin-grip anchor that affords simple and permanent fastening into masonry. The combination of an aluminum anchor body and a stainless steel expansion drive-pin is adaptable to indoor and outdoor installation and is resistant to corrosion. The unit is available in two diameters, "and", and in various lengths up to 1-%".
Bil-Jax Hoist
A new medium-duty material hoist with 1,000 lb. lift capacity to heights of 72 ft. is offered by Bil-Jax, Inc., Archbold, OH 43502. Model XL-H10 has hoisting speeds up to 50 ft. per minute with single-lever hand control. Hydraulically driven, the hoist is gas or electric powered. It is towable or can be hauled on a pickup.
Quarry Tile Folder
Quarry Tile Co., Spokane Industrial Park, Spokane, WA 99216, is offering a full-color brochure illustrating its wide line of vitreous clay tiles designed for commercial residential surfaces. The 8-page folder contains color reproductions of the variety of available shapes, glazes and patterns of tile offered by the company. Trim shapes are also shown, along with application suggestions for each design.
Loed Lift/Reach Unit
The 15,000 lb. capacity, 2-wheel drive Model 542 rough terrain forklift produced by Loed Corp. features lifts to 24 ft. and forward reach to 14 ft. Yet it is compact (91 in. high x 88 in. wide) and maneuverable enough for interior work and confined construction sites. Marble Literature
"Marble, the Masterpiece of Nature," an attractive, full-color folder depicting outstanding marble installations, is available from the Marble Institute of America, 33505 State St., Farmington, MI 48024. The illustrations show how architects and designers have used this beautiful natural stone product for lobby floors and walls, building exteriors, and fireplace facings.
Glen-Gery Brochure
Glen-Gery Corp., Drawer S, Rt. 61, Shoemakersville, PA 19555, has produced a colorful brochure, "Dimensions In Brick," detailing its wide-ranging line of brick and corollary technical services. The firm offers literally hundreds of brick colors, textures, sizes and shapes from which to choose. This includes machine molded and handmade brick as well as a broad range of architectural pavers.
Protective Wrap
Glas-Kraft, Inc., Slatersville, RI 02876, is marketing a high-strength, readily flexible brick and concrete block wrap. The reinforced Glas-Kraft Brick Wrap contours to each load of brick or block, protecting the corners, preventing chipping or scratching by steel strapping, and helping to keep the load stabilized in transit. The material has a ribbed extensible bottom sheet for stretch while lifting and handling.
Coleman Lunch Pak
Here's a cooler that can quickly become the tradesman's best friend. The Coleman Lunch Pak is little, but it can store and cool sandwiches, fruit and beverages for as long as you need. It's also tough enough to sit on. Produced in white with a blue lid, the Lunch Pak measures 12%" x 9%" x 9% high and is insulated with polyurethane foamed in place.
