G. W. VEAZEY, JR.
Vice President, Region F

G. W. Veazey, Jr. is president of the Veazey Corporation, one of the leading mason contracting firms in Texas. Formed in 1962, the operation is headquartered in Houston and specializes in the larger and more unique masonry projects.

Long active in industry affairs, G. W. has served a previous term as regional vice president of MCAA, and is a past president of Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas and Associated Masonry Contractors of Houston.

He is a trustee of the International Masonry Apprenticeship Trust, which has evolved into a board position of apprenticeship and training under the umbrella of the International Masonry Institute. He is one of the original trustees selected to establish and oversee the Bricklayers International Pension Fund, and is a trustee of the Masonry Institute of Houston/Galveston and the Bricklayers International Union's 1, 7 and 13 Health, Welfare & Pension plans.

G. W. served as chairman of the MCAA Membership Committee for a number of years, and on various other boards within MCAA. In 1971 he was selected MCAA's Outstanding Committee Chairman.

An avid sportsman, he spends most of his free time cruising in his boat. He and his wife, Peggy, were married in 1950 and have two sons, one of whom is active in the company.


JACK J. BAILEY
Vice President, Region G

Jack Bailey is president of Jack J. Bailey Co./Masonry Contractor, formed in 1959 and specializing in commercial, industrial and highrise residential work.

Jack presently serves on the board of trustees of the Colorado Mason Contractors Association and the Colorado Masonry Institute. He is a past president of both of these latter organizations as well as being past Colorado state chairman of the Mason Contractors Association of America. In community activities he is a member of El Jebel Shrine.

Prior to forming his own company, Jack served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-51 and was a bricklayer for eight years. A native of Colorado, he is a graduate of Denver University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

Jack and his wife, Donna, have three daughters-Marsha (Mrs. Michael Halpin), and Joyce and Gayle, both of whom graduated from Idaho State University and are pursuing their careers.

Jack's hobbies include golf, camping and being a sports fan, especially of the Denver Broncos in the National Football League.


ROBERT H. HATCH
Vice President, Region H

Bob Hatch is president and sole owner of Hatch Masonry, Inc., headquartered in South El Monte, Calif. In operation under Bob's guidance for the past 15 years, the company performs the bulk of its work in the industrial, commercial and governmental sector in the greater Los Angeles area.

Prior to starting his own firm, Bob worked in a management capacity with another mason contractor for 13 years doing a similar scope of work. A registered civil engineer in the state of California, Bob is a graduate of lowa State University with a degree in architectural engineering.

With MCAA, Bob is chairman of the Contract Research Committee. He also has spent several years as a management trustee on the local Health & Welfare and Pension funds for the brickmasons of Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

A Navy veteran of World War II, Bob is an instrument-rated airplane pilot and flies a Cessna P210, which he uses in his business operations. He also is an avid photographer and golfer, and enjoys fishing in Mexico.

Bob and his wife, Mim, have three children-Steven, who lives in Chester, N.J.; Scott, a recent construction management graduate of the University of Washington and now working for a Seattle general contractor, and Susan, a bank computer team manager in Monterey Park, Calif.
