MCAA INDUSTRY TOUR
October 4-11, 1982
SWITZERLAND
This year, why not join the MCAA Industry Tour, October 4-11? Our program combines Switzerland with your choice of one of the other spots you have long dreamed to visit.
The tour will originate on non-stop flights from Chicago and New York to Zurich; then a short drive to Interlaken, one of the most beautiful and interesting resort cities in the world.
When you think about Switzerland, watches, banks, cheese and chocolate come immediately to mind, along with the picturesque villages and the majestic mountain peaks of the Alps. But, Switzerland is much more than this. The 6 million Swiss people make up one of the world's oldest democracies that co-exists in four distinct cultures, distinguished primarily by the spoken language-German, French, Italian and Romansch.
Interlaken, at 1,770 feet above sea level, lies at the foot of the world famous Jungfrau in the very heart of Switzerland between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. It abounds with excellent restaurants and a multitude of shops displaying treasures from the farthest comers of the world. A few minutes away you see the world-famous Grindewald where, in the winter, it is one of the world's leading ski resorts, and in October it promises one of the most exciting cable car rides imaginable, surrounded by the Alp's most majestic snow-covered peaks, the Eiger, Monch and the Jungfrau, with glaciers reaching down to the floor of the valleys 10,000 feet below.
World Renowned Hotel Jungfrau
Everyone will be looking forward to the good food and outstanding accommodations offered by our host hotel, the world famous Hotel Victoria Jungfrau. During our visit we will have the opportunity to explore century-old castles and cathedrals, as well as Switzerland's ultra-modern highrises, featuring the latest in masonry techniques. There will also be an opportunity to meet with some of the leading members of Switzerland's masonry industry.
